cultural experience

cultural experience

Before I start my topic, I want to shout out it's freezing cold inside the buildings! Every time a enter my classroom or dinning places, I felt like the weather change from summer to winter. I am really confused about the low temperature in the America.
I came from China and there are a lot of cultural differences between China and America. Food difference is cliche so I don't want to talk about it.What I want to discuss is  the difference in how people treat animals in China and in America.
In China, at least in my hometown, we can always see stray dogs and cats on the street. Stray pets appear because people didn't take care of their pets well or even worse some people just dump them. I am not saying people in China don't like pets, sure they do. But, in China people don't have those strong awareness of animal protection like people in the America. In my opinion, this cultural phenomena happpens beacuse people in China treat pets like their personal belonglings. They don't really respect pets' lives. Some people adopt pets due to their momentary preferences and after their enthusiasm waned they just dump those pitiful pets.
In America, I've heard people treat pets as their family numbers. I don't know wheather it is true or not. But as I have seen, I believe most of American treat their pets better then Chinese do. And I also heard that in America, befor people adopt pets they must take some classes to learn how to take care of the pets.
I'm not rooting for anyone. I just told the facts I saw.

  1. In this one, you need to describe some cultural experience you have here and then compare it. You don't really talk about pets in America.
