Plagiarism?Are you kidding?

The video"plagiarism? Are you kidding" describes a conversation between two students which are talking about the reasons of citing the sources. The boy is confused that why he needs to use all these texts in his paper? He asserts that citing the sources is wasting of time and his prefessor just wants him to show he has read everything. The girl disagrees with the boy, because she insists that cite the sources can make the argument more stronger, also can show the ideas with other people and make other people agree with the writer. Two students also have the point of disagreement about paraphrasing, the girl analyzes just paraphrase the main idea sometimes  instead of parphrasing each sentence. Furthermore, cite also shows the intellectural properties and is not the everything to do with the plagiarism such as providing more information, demobstrating well read and acknowledging the idea belongs to others.
I agree with the girl that citing the source is good for academic writing. Besides, intellectural properties is very important to be protected. What's more, paraphrase the main idea not the each sentence can make readers know the point clearly. That's the reasons why I support with the girl.
