“Plagiarism? Are you kidding?”

The video called “plagiarism? Are you kidding?” describes a dialogue of a man and a women, which about the purpose of citing in study. The man holds the opinion that the reason of citing is just want his professor to know he does read the content thoroughly. He definitely believes that it wastes a lot of time on citing; it is tough to paraphrase all the sentences. Neverthelessthe women disagrees with him in some points. She states that it is not just let the professor get to know whether students read and comprehend the main concept. Readers can easily trust him and give more agreement about the paper by sharing the main idea. The woman indicates that there are some policies for citing just like the rules for football. Also, she supports the man to use the main ideas from the content so that he does not need to paraphrase every sentence. In addition, it is important to respect others intellectual property. It is not always plagiarism to citing because the woman states that citing can allow more information and illustrate people read it well.
In my opinion, when I writing a paper, it is vital that citing some important concept form the reading article but not plagiarism. Firstly, I must protect the intellectual property, which means I need to mark the source clearly. Moreover, I can use the citation and paraphrasing to demonstrate my main point and let readers have a resonance. So that’s why I definitely support to citing.
