Plagiarism? Are you kidding? Rongbin Zhang

Plagiarism? Are you kidding?

In the video “Plagiarism? Are you Kidding?”, the author Joel Bloch describe the reason why people always use other’s ideas and the way of how to use other’s ideas. Specifically speaking, first reason which is addressed by Bloch is that using other’s idea can strength your own idea, because more people agree with you, more stranger your idea is. Moreover, the author point out that it can show you have read everything you get from other’s article. Furthermore author also finds out that the most important way to use other people’s idea is that you must cite resources or paraphrase them. Moreover, the author discovers three reasons why we need citing other’s idea. Specifically speaking, first reason which is stressed by Bloch is that it can strength your own idea. Secondly, the author show that it can providing more information to reader in order to make reader have a better understanding on your ideas. Thirdly, author also emphasizes that it shows your own ability to acknowledge other people’s idea.

In this video, it gives us a controversial issue that whether people need to citing resources. In my opinion, I think it is necessary for people to cite sources when people borrow other’s idea into their own paper, because citing sources can show your ability to acknowledge other’s people resources as video shows. In addition, citing sources can strength your own idea, due to the fact that more people agree with your idea, more stranger your idea is.
