Cross-Culture Experiences Ice Zhang

Cross-Culture Experiences

In this blogger, I want to show a very special experience in OSU. Before I went to America, I did not know how football plays even what it is, however when I come to OSU my roommate introduced this game to me. I felt very curious and excited about this game. I hoped that I can have a chance to look at this game directly.

The September 1st which I hoped finally came. In that day, I went downstairs with my roommate which was a big fan for football game and we both went to the football playground which was near to our apartment. Before we went to the playground, I saw many people wore red clothes with a big white word OHIO. On the contrary, it was impossible to experience that every one dress a same color clothes in order to support their team in China. I thought that it was a big difference between China and America. Ok continuing our event in that day, I also heard music which was played by our school marching band. I had to say that it was proud to have such an excellent band in our school. If they invite me to join in band, I would take part in the band immediately. Furthermore, everybody in the playground had their ways to support the team which they like the best. Even I which am a freshman on football game was affected by people who surrounded me. Actually, it was hardly to see this phenomenon in China because of no one show their emotion on their face.

Finally, this was the culture things that felt expressed in my mind after I went to the OSU. In conclusion, every culture has its shining point which can crap your eyes on it. Due to this reason, we need open our heart to get these shining points and get involved into different cultural events.

  1. Glad you got to enjoy your first football game. What do you mean "crap your eyes" on it?
