My Culture experience – the Humanized design in OSU

My Culture experience – the Humanized design in OSU
This weekend, I had enough spare time to walk around the OSU camps carefully. I put this little trip as a discovery. I used my camera to explore the different culture phenomenon between China an America. Finally I got my culture experience, the Humanized designs in OSU.

Now get ready to follow my view! When I wanted to go out of the dorm, the sound of my refrigerator reminded me of the different rules of using electrical equipment between China. In Chinese universities, students are not allowed to use electrical equipment after 11:00pm and the power of the equipment do not allow over 1000w. That means you can’t use a blower in you dorm!

Actually, there are a lot of humanized designs in the dorm while in China we don’t have. Living in my dorm is quite comfortable because I can buy a snack or a drink in the vending machines instead of going out to buy things in China; I don’t need to worry that there is no toilet paper in the restrooms; I can wash my clothes at any time!

While I was walking on the street, I could see the description board of each building clearly. This humanized design makes it easier for new students to find their classrooms and to know the buildings’ names and locations. Unfortunately, there was sudden rain! I ran into the Thompson Library and kept myself from getting wet. The first thing I saw in the Library was the umbrella bags. The bags kept the floor dry and prevented the rain from wetting the clothes.

All in all, I like the humanized designs in OSU, which make our daily life more comfortable and convenient. I need to say that cultural differences exist everywhere. All we need to do is just to use our eyes to find.
