Plagiarism? Are you kidding?

A video which named “Plagiarism? Are you kidding?” illustrates the importance and the solution of citing resources in academic writing essays. The video use a conversion between two characters (a man and a woman) to figure out the questions. At first, the man argues the reason why he needs to cite all resources in his writing. The woman points out that citing resources not only show you read everything but also improve the article and make the article much stronger because more people agree with the argument. Then the man argues that the citation is wasting time. However, the woman explains that citation is the policy in writing just like rules in football. Furthermore, the woman suggests he can sometimes use the main idea of the article instead of paragraphing every words or grammar points. At last, the woman concludes that citation show the respect of other’s intelligent property and let more reader trust you own idea.
In my opinion, I agree with the woman’s point better. Citing resources is very often when I write my paper. I think citation help me to avoid plagiarism. In addition, citation gives much more information about my work, include what I have thought about the topic; what I have read form other’s idea; what I have organized the information in my article. Unlike the boy’s thinking, I don’t think that cite resources is wasting time. In fact, the resources list gives your hard working to the readers in academic writings.
