In my
opinion, there are some differences between my Chinese writing and English
writing. Firstly, when I use the Chinese to write a paper, I spend my lot of
time on describing my emotional feeling about the things that surround me. Specifically
speaking, I mainly focus on techniques which can polish my paper better and the
content in the paper. Moreover, when we are using Chinese to write a article, I
just use my own experience and sometime when I use others’ words not only in
the that people’s article but also that people’s saying, I just copy them from
my mind without any connections to the original author or article. This phenomenon,
I think, is resulted from our attention when we are reading a book or searching
a resource in Chinese. Specifically
speaking, when I read book or an article, I just focus more on the content and
ignore the author’s name.
In
contrast, when I use English to write an article, I pay more attention to the
objective fact and less emotional feelings. Moreover, when I writing in
English, I try to distinguish an appropriate word for describing a suitable
situation in the paper and sometime I use wrong grammar in English.
Furthermore, in my
digital story, I just try to avoid the grammar and spelling mistakes. Moreover,
I try to explain my opinion clearly and try to use some ironic words in my
story which can make people interesting in my story; there are less emotional
feelings in my digital story.
Lastly, due to the learning
of plagiarism in recent month, I come up a way to avoid it. It is my first time
to know about the copying is forbidden in academic writing. The simplest way to
avoid this problem is giving a respect for the original author, in other words,
quoting. Also I use the paraphrasing to avoid this problem.
Good discussion of writing issues.
